This page says what ConceptCIE collects about you, why, and who helps us handle it. We collect as little as we can.

1. What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, and your password (we never see it; our login provider stores only a scrambled form of it). If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your email and basic profile details.
  • Your choices: for example, whether you asked for early-access resources and for which boards.
  • Your plan and usage: which plan you have, and how many tutor messages you have used.
  • Your practice: the answers you give to practice questions and whether they were right.
  • Your reading: which note sections you open and when. We use this to enforce limits and to trace leaked notes.
  • Your messages to tutors: sent to our AI provider so it can reply. We do not keep a copy of the conversation at the moment.
  • When paid plans open and you pay by bank transfer or a mobile wallet: the payment reference and any receipt you send us.
  • Technical data: your IP address and device details, which our hosting provider sees when you visit, for security and to keep the site running.

2. Why we use it

  • to run your account and give you what your plan includes;
  • to answer your tutor messages;
  • to keep the site safe, stop abuse and protect our notes from being copied;
  • to understand which parts of the site help students, once we add basic analytics. We will update this page when we do.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show advertising.

3. Who helps us handle it

We use a small number of providers. They handle data for us and for no one else:

  • Supabase: stores accounts and site data.
  • Cloudflare: hosts the site and protects it from attacks.
  • Groq: an AI service that writes tutor replies from the messages you send.
  • Google: only if you choose Sign in with Google.

We may also have to share data if the law requires it.

4. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Where your data is kept

Our providers run data centres in several countries, so your data may be stored or handled outside the country where you live.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open, and other records only as long as we need them for the reasons above. A way to download or delete your data yourself is Being updated.

7. Age

ConceptCIE is for students aged 13 and over. If we learn that a younger child has an account, we will close it and delete its data.

8. Your choices and rights

You can change your early-access choice on your account page. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you.

9. Changes to this page

If what we collect or who we share it with changes, we will update this page and its date.
